SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sacramento Republic FC forward Darek Formella revealed Wednesday the reason behind the celebration of his game-winning goal that lifted the side to victory against Rio Grande Valley FC.
Posting on Twitter, the recently-arrived Polish forward talked about his father’s battle with cancer, which sadly came to an end hours before kickoff on Sunday.
