TAMPA, Fla. – The following is the USL’s discipline report for Week 23 of the 2019 USL Championship season:
Sacramento Republic FC’s Dekel Keinan has been suspended for two games following review of an incident in the club’s contest against San Antonio FC on August 3 by the Independent Discipline Panel. Keinan will be unavailable for Sacramento’s contests against Las Vegas Lights FC (Aug. 7) and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (Aug. 17).
Las Vegas Lights FC’s Jonathan Levin has been suspended for one game following his red card for serious foul play against Fresno FC on August 3. Levin will be unavailable for Las Vegas’ contest with Sacramento Republic FC on Wednesday night.
Saint Louis FC’s Oscar Umar has been suspended for two games following both receiving his fifth caution of the season and subsequently a red card for denial of a goalscoring opportunity during his side’s contest against the New York Red Bulls II on August 2. Umar served the first game of his suspension on Tuesday night against Memphis 901 FC and will also be unavailable for Saint Louis’ contest with the Charleston Battery this Saturday.
The Charlotte Independence’s Alex Martinez has been suspended for one game following his red card for abusive language during his side’s contest against Louisville City FC on August 3. Martinez will be unavailable for the Independence’s contest against Loudoun United FC on Friday.
Bethlehem Steel FC’s Ben Ofeimu has been suspended for one game following his red card for two cautionable offenses against Hartford Athletic on August 1. Ofeimu will be unavailable for Bethlehem’s contest against Nashville SC on Saturday.
Birmingham Legion FC’s Mikey Lopez has been suspended for one game following his red card for two cautionable offenses against Ottawa Fury FC on August 2. Lopez will be unavailable for Birmingham’s contest against the Tampa Bay Rowdies this Saturday.
The Charleston Battery’s Ataulla Guerra has been suspended for one game following his red card for two cautionable offenses against the Tampa Bay Rowdies on August 3. Guerra will be unavailable for Charleston’s contest with Saint Louis FC this Saturday.
Louisville City FC’s Paco Craig has been suspended for one game following his red card for two cautionable offenses against the Charlotte Independence on August 3. Craig will be unavailable for Louisville’s contest against ATL UTD 2 on Sunday.
OKC Energy FC’s Je-Vaughn Watson has been suspended for one game following his red card for two cautionable offenses against Tulsa Roughnecks FC on August 3. Watson will be unavailable for OKC’s contest against Fresno FC on Saturday.
OKC Energy FC Head Coach Steve Cooke has been suspended for one game following his dismissal from the technical area for irresponsible behavior during the club’s contest with Tulsa Roughnecks FC on August 3. Cooke will be unavailable for OKC’s contest against Fresno FC on Saturday.
Bethlehem Steel FC’s Cole Turner, Loudoun United FC’s Collin Verfurth, Austin Bold FC’s Sean McFarlane and Amobi Okugo, the LA Galaxy II’s Adrian Vera, Sacramento Republic FC’s Jordan McCrary and Tulsa Roughnecks FC’s Cyprian Hedrick and Calvin Rezende have each been suspended for one game for caution accumulation after receiving their fifth yellow cards of the season. Turner will be unavailable for Bethlehem’s contest with Nashville SC on Saturday, Verfurth will be unavailable for Loudoun’s contest with the Charlotte Independence on Friday, McFarlane and Okugo will be unavailable for Austin’s contest with the LA Galaxy II this Saturday, Vera will be unavailable for LA’s contest with Austin Bold FC this Saturday, McCrary will be unavailable for Sacramento’s contest with Las Vegas Lights FC on Wednesday, and Hedrick and Rezende will be unavailable for Tulsa’s contest with Real Monarchs SLC on Saturday.
Memphis 901 FC’s Dan Metzger was suspended for one game for caution accumulation after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season against Ottawa Fury FC on August 2. Metzger served his suspension during Memphis’ contest with Saint Louis FC on Tuesday night.
