Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (7-3-8) will travel to take on Hartford Athletic (3-14-4) at 5 p.m. this Saturday at Dillon Stadium. In their first matchup with Hartford this season, the Black and Gold pulled out a 3-1 victory at home.

The Season So Far

Hartford Athletic has struggled thus far in their inaugural campaign. Collecting just three wins thus far, the club finds itself 17th of 18 teams in the Eastern Conference standings.

While Hartford hasn’t grabbed many positive results this season, the majority of the ones they have happened on home turf. The club carries a 2-4-3 home record. The Athletic played their first seven home games at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field, but have since moved to Dillon Stadium.

The Athletic have posted a 1-4-0 record in their last five games, most recently dropping a 3-2 result to the Charleston Battery.

Players to Watch

Former Hound José Angulo has posted a team-high four goals in 19 appearances. The 31-year-old provided Hartford’s lone tally in its loss in Pittsburgh back in April.

Danny Barrera and Wojciech Wojcik have also made contributions on the offensive end of the field, with three assists each on the year.

Strength: Creating Shots

One thing the Athletic have found success with is firing a lot of opportunities off on net. With a total of 262 shots on the year, the club ranks third in the Eastern Conference in that category.

Weakness: Defending

Hartford has allowed a whopping 49 goals on the year. That number tops the Eastern Conference, and is tied for the highest amount of goals conceded in the entire USL Championship.
