Legion FC returns to BBVA Field to face Atlanta United 2 on Saturday, July 20 at 7PM

Attack, Attack, Attack
Atlanta United 2 has given up four goals per game in the last month. While this average is skewed by their recent 8-1 loss to New York Red Bulls II, the Five Stripes’ last five results also includes a 5-0 loss to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC and losses to Loudon United and Indy Eleven, respectively.

If Legion FC want to get the most out this contest, it will have to take advantage of an Atlanta United 2 side that has been weak defensively.

Be Physical
Legion FC’s roster is full of physical, strong players, so it will be important to utilize this advantage throughout the match.

The Five Stripes have a talented roster with the likes of Andrew Carleton and Chris Goslin often included in the lineup, however, it is a lineup that often features many young and inexperienced players. Legion FC can take advantage of this by playing with that extra bit of physicality, while also staying disciplined.

Dominate Possession
Taking on such a young and inexperienced team should encourage Legion FC to take control of the game. By dominating possession, the boys can make sure they take Atlanta United 2 out of the game early, as well as making sure that players like Carleton have less time on the ball.

Against North Carolina FC, Legion FC looked their best when on the front foot and on the ball. Doing so allows for more chances to be created and more time for movement off the ball to open up space to attack.
