TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship announced on Thursday the five nominees for the USL Championship Player of the Month award for June, with top performers from the past month of the 2019 season selected for the ballot.
Voting in the USL Player of the Month Award will be conducted by the following three voting bodies:
The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Thursday, July 11.
Please note: The USL Championship Player of the Month selections process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as USL Championship Most Valuable Player or position players of the year.
USL Championship Player of the Month – June 2019
Solomon Asante, Phoenix Rising FC – Asante scored in every game of the month, logging seven goals and four assists to move into the league-lead in both categories.
Tyler Pasher, Indy Eleven – Pasher recorded five goals – four of which proved to be game-winners – and one assist to lead Indy to an undefeated month.
Douglas Martinez, Real Monarchs SLC – Martinez recorded three goals and three assists to help power the Monarchs to victories in each of their three contests over the month.
Andre Lima, Austin Bold FC – Lima scored four goals for Bold FC, including two game-winners, and registered six key passes as Austin went undefeated through the month.
Cameron Iwasa, Sacramento Republic FC – Iwasa scored four goals and had one assist in four games for Republic FC as the side claimed three victories out of four contests.
