USL Championship Discipline Report – Week 17

TAMPA, Fla. – The following is the USL’s discipline report for Week 17 of the 2019 USL Championship season:

The Charleston Battery’s Ian Svantesson has been suspended for two games following his red card for serious foul play against the Swope Park Rangers on June 22. Svantesson will be unavailable for the Battery’s contests against Ottawa Fury FC on Wednesday night and the New York Red Bulls II on Saturday night.

The New York Red Bulls II’s Jean-Christophe Koffi has been suspended for one game following his red card for two cautionable offenses against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on June 22. Koffi will be unavailable for New York’s game against Nashville SC this Wednesday.

Phoenix Rising FC’s Joe Farrell has been suspended for one game following his red card for two cautionable offenses against OKC Energy FC on June 22. Farrell will be unavailable for Phoenix’s game against the Portland Timbers 2 this Saturday.

The Swope Park Rangers’ Adrian Zendejas has been suspended for one game following his red card for two cautionable offenses against the Charleston Battery on June 22. Zendejas will be unavailable for Swope Park’s game against Saint Louis FC this Sunday.

Austin Bold FC’s Valeriy Saramutin, Bethlehem Steel FC’s James Chambers, Las Vegas Lights FC’s Junior Sandoval, OKC Energy FC’s Atiba Harris and Tulsa Roughnecks FC’s Mallan Roberts have each been suspended for one game for caution accumulation after receiving their fifth yellow cards of the season this past weekend.

Saramutin will be unavailable for Austin’s game against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC this Saturday, Chambers will be unavailable for Bethlehem’s game against Hartford Athletic this Friday, Sandoval will be unavailable for Las Vegas’ game against OKC Energy FC this Saturday, Harris will be unavailable for OKC’s game against Las Vegas this Saturday, and Roberts will be unavailable for Tulsa’s game against Real Monarchs SLC this Saturday.

Nashville SC’s Lebo Moloto and Tulsa Roughnecks FC’s Rodrigo da Costa are no longer on caution accumulation warning, having had one caution removed under the USL’s Good Behavior incentive to place them on three cautions for the season.

The following players enter the upcoming matches one caution away from a yellow card accumulation suspension for their fifth yellow card of the season. Here is the breakdown per club:

  • Birmingham Legion FC (2): Mikey Lopez, Kyle Culbertson

  • Hartford Athletic (2): Kyle Curinga, Sem de Wit

  • LA Galaxy II (1): Adrian Vera

  • Las Vegas Lights FC (1): Cristhian Hernandez

  • Memphis 901 FC (2): Marc Burch, Wesley Charpie

  • New Mexico United (1): Santi Moar

  • North Carolina FC (1): Sam Brotherton

  • Orange County SC (2): Daniel Crisotomo, Vinicius

  • Ottawa Fury FC (1): Chris Mannella

  • Real Monarchs SLC (3): Jack Blake, Douglas Martinez, Ricardo Avila

  • Reno 1868 FC (1): Will Seymore

  • Rio Grande Valley FC (1): Romilio Hernandez

  • San Antonio FC (1): Michael Lahoud

  • Tacoma Defiance (1): Jesse Daley

  • Tulsa Roughnecks FC (1): Cyprian Hedrick
