SAN ANTONIO – There were already plenty of reasons for San Antonio FC fans to be on hand for the club’s key Copa Tejas clash with El Paso Locomotive FC, with the national spotlight of Wednesday Night Soccer arriving at Toyota Field for the contest on ESPNews.
On Monday afternoon, though, SAFC gave fans a sneak-peek at the new uniforms it will officially wear for the first time with the hooped black-and-silver design becoming the club’s official third jersey.
Tying into the traditional color motif that distinguishes teams under the ownership of Spurs Sports & Entertainment, the silver-sleeved outfit will be available for sale at the stadium as well.
With SAFC in need of all three points as it kicks off a run of three consecutive contests against Texas rivals – Austin Bold FC is also set to visit Toyota Field on Wednesday, July 3 before a return fixture with Locomotive FC on Wednesday, July 17 – San Antonio is hoping another raucous crowd can help the side add to its 4-1-3 record on home turf as it reaches the midway point of the regular season.
