The growth of the USL Championship in the past five years has also seen the arrival of new soccer-specific stadiums to the league. By the end of this season, four new soccer-specific venues will be part of the league’s roster after the completion of Hartford Athletic’s Dillon Stadium and Loudoun United FC’s permanent home.
With Louisville City FC’s remarkable new facility set to open for the 2020 season and others like Indy Eleven, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, the Charlotte Independence and OKC Energy FC all currently working toward new venues, the list seems set to continue to grow as we move into the next decade.
