EDINBURG, Tx. – Austin Bold FC collected another Copa Tejas win after defeating Rio Grande Valley FC, 1-0, at H-E-B Park on Sunday night. Bold FC looked the more likely side to score in the first half with shots from Sonny Guadarrama and Kleber Giacomazzi saved well by RGV FC goalkeeper Nicolas Corti. Persistence would pay off for the visitors after 50 minutes, though, when midfielder Francis Atuahene stole the ball back in the opposition penalty area and fired a cross into the middle where forward André Lima was there to eventually bundle the ball over the line. Seven minutes later, Lima tested Corti again with a powerful header from close range but the goalkeeper was equal to it, preventing Austin from a second goal. With the result, the visitors extended their unbeaten streak to four straight games and collected their second straight win on the road.
