Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (2-2-7) heads south to take on Atlanta United 2 (3-6-4) at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Fans can catch all of the action live on Pittsburgh’s CW.

The Black and Gold are just one win short of their 200th total victory in franchise history, and can reach that mark with a victory in Atlanta.

Point Battle

Both clubs stand with 13 points on the season heading into Saturday’s match. Neither side has seen a victory since April 13, and three valuable points are at stake this weekend. With a win, Riverhounds SC would leap Atlanta in the standings and find itself right back in the playoff picture.

Defensive Struggles

Opposing teams have had little issue to crack Atlanta’s back line this season. So far, the club has conceded 21 goals on the year, the sixth highest total in the Eastern Conference. United 2 is one of only eight clubs in the conference with a goal differential in the negatives, having given up eight more goals than they have scored.

Super Romario

Romario Williams leads Atlanta United 2 in goals this season, with three tallies in just five appearances with the club. Atlanta has struggled to score in volume at times throughout this season, but their attack is far more potent when Williams is working up top.

Forward Brandon Vazquez and defender Laurence Wyke are just behind Williams, both with two goals, respectively.

By the Numbers: 25

With 25 career assists in the Black and Gold, Kevin Kerr is just one short of the franchise record in helpers. Kerr is currently tied with David Flavius for the club’s all-time lead in assists.

Key to Victory: Keep Atlanta’s Attack Quiet

With only 13 goals this year, Atlanta’s offense has been very limited throughout the 2019 campaign. If the Hounds can continue that trend and hold off United 2’s attack, and take advantage of their struggles on the backline, they should be in position to grab a victory on Saturday.
