Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (2-1-3) will take the pitch at 7 p.m. on Saturday against Eastern Conference foe Nashville SC (3-2-1) at Highmark Stadium. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Early Gains

The Riverhounds have gained at least one point in their last five games. However, with only two wins on the season, the Hounds are just outside the playoff bracket in 11th place, one point behind the final playoff spot. Pittsburgh will look to gain three points in the standings and move into playoff position.

James to Face Former Club

Defender Ryan James looks to shine against his former club where he started 11 games for Nashville SC last season. James has already surpassed his previous season points total where he did not gain a point with Nashville. He is tied for the Pittsburgh team lead with two assists this season.

Hunting Three

With Nashville SC scheduled to move to MLS in 2020, this will be one of the final opportunities for the Hounds to gain a win against the club. Nashville played its first USL Championship campaign in 2018, but the Hounds were unable to secure three points, tying and losing the previous two all-time meetings.

Rolling Ríos

Forward Daniel Ríos has been the scoring leader for Nashville SC this season. Ríos leads the team in goals, shots and shots on target. The Hounds will need to limit his presence close to the net, as all five of his goals this season have come from inside of the penalty box.

By the Numbers: 7

Seven out of the eight goals scored by the Hounds this season have been from within the 18-yard box.

Key to Victory: Forwards Driving the Net

Neco Brett was the only forward to have a shot on target for the Hounds last time out against Saint Louis FC. Pittsburgh will need to have its forwards drive more shots to the net in the matchup against Nashville. Nashville SC has only allowed five goals all season thus far.
