Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (2-1-3) will look to extend its five-game unbeaten streak at 7 p.m. on Saturday against Nashville SC (3-2-1) at Highmark Stadium. Nashville is coming off a 3-1 loss to the Charleston Battery, in what was its weakest defensive showing of the season.

The Season So Far

Nashville stands in seventh place on the Eastern Conference leaderboard after its strong start to the 2019 campaign. The club has earned clean sheets in all three of its victories and is currently allowing an average of 1.00 goals per game. This weekend’s match against the Hounds is the second leg of a three-game road trip for Nashville, which is coming off its 3-1 loss at Charleston. The club holds a 1-1-1 record in road games this season.

Players to Watch

Daniel Ríos has been the club’s most dangerous offensive weapon. The 24-year-old forward leads the team in goals, notching five tallies through the team’s first six matches. On the other half of the field, defender Ken Tribbett solidifies Nashville’s backline. The 26-year-old leads the team in interceptions (14) and blocks (three).

Strength

Defense: As aforementioned, Nashville SC has been one of the more-sound defensive clubs in the USL Championship so far. The club’s three clean sheets rank tied for fourth in the league. Additionally, there are only three other teams in the league that have conceded less goals than Nashville.

Weakness

Discipline: Nashville’s aggressive defensive efforts have resulted in 11 yellow cards, which is tied for the fifth-highest total in the Eastern Conference.
