Richmond United Announces 2018/19 College Commitments

Ten Development Academy Players Move on to Play Collegiately

The Richmond United Boys Development Academy is proud to announce its senior class commitments for the 2018/2019 season. With 10 seniors committing to play soccer at the next level, this year marks one of Richmond United Boys largest commitment classes since the club’s inception in 2014.
 
  • Jaron Berry (Beach FC) – Virginia Wesleyan University
  • Coleman Curran (Richmond Kickers/FC Richmond) – USMA West Point
  • Seth Dale (Richmond Kickers) – University of Lynchburg
  • Corey Finchum (Richmond Strikers) – Colgate University
  • Grant Johnson (Richmond Strikers) – Messiah College
  • Tyus Jones (Fredericksburg FC) – Old Dominion University
  • Ethan Manheim (Richmond Kickers) – Virginia Commonwealth University
  • Jacob Menke (Fredericksburg FC) – Virginia Commonwealth University
  • Sam Moore (Richmond Kickers) – University of North Carolina Chapel Hill
  • Key White (Beach FC) – University of North Carolina Chapel Hill
 
“This is a testament to the hard work and sacrifice that each one of these players and their families have committed over the years,” commented Sascha Görres, Richmond United Academy Director. “These players joined Richmond United from many different clubs from around the area to achieve their goals. Without the foundation that they developed in their early years, this would not have been possible.”
 
“On behalf of the Richmond United staff, I would like to congratulate these players for achieving their goals and wish them the best as they continue their soccer careers,” added Görres.
