Yaro Recorded Nine Clearances in First Clean Sheet of the Season

San Antonio FC defender Joshua Yaro was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week, the league announced today. Yaro recorded a team-high nine clearances in the club’s first shutout of the season as they defeated the LA Galaxy II 2-0.

In addition to his nine clearances, Yaro also won four of his five duels and recorded seven total recoveries. The 24-year-old is one of three SAFC players to start and play every minute of the season so far, recording 540 minutes through six matches. Yaro currently leads San Antonio in clearances (28), blocks (4), and ranks second in tackles (16).

This marks the first inclusion in a USL Championship Team of the Week for Yaro who originally joined SAFC in January.
